Ancient and medieval historical and geographical written monuments are valuable sources for studying the geographical, toponymic, etymological, ethnopolitical history of various territories. Geographical discoveries of medieval scientists and travelers based on specific materials will make a new scientific contribution to the reconstruction of ideas about the area, but also contribute to the study of the heritage of the Turkic peoples.
As part of the study of historiography, the works of Arab geographers and travelers occupy a huge place among foreign sources related to various countries.
