Abstract

The article discusses one of the little-studied, and at the same time, rather controversial problems of modern society - the role and place of woman in the space of the mosque. The issue of gender segregation in religious places today is becoming a trending topic among scholars in various social contexts. Since gender issues are reflected in spaces, the space itself also shapes gender relations. Muslim women around the world face different challenges in mosques and respond to them in different ways. At the same time, the trend of the influence of Islamic feminism on the formation of the Islamic identity of Muslim women is increasing. The purpose of the study was to show how the role of women in Islam and their attitude towards the space of the mosque has changed.
