Abstract

This article examines the features of Kazakhstan's transition to an information society using comparative and interdisciplinary approaches. The relevance of the topic is due to the rapid development of information and communication technologies and the need to introduce them into all spheres of society to build an information society. The comparative approach makes it possible to conduct a comparative analysis of the informatization processes in Kazakhstan and other countries, identify common trends and draw lessons from successful practices. An interdisciplinary approach is necessary for a comprehensive study of the complex interrelationships between the economic, social, cultural, political, technological and environmental aspects of the transition to an information society. Within the framework of this study, key aspects such as the development of ICT infrastructure, digitalization of the economy, the formation of information culture and competencies, the role of the state and institutional transformations, the impact of globalization and international cooperation, as well as issues of cybersecurity and personal data protection will be considered. The results of the study are intended to contribute to the development of an effective strategy and policy that contributes to the successful transition of Kazakhstan to the information society, considering its specific features and challenges. In addition, they can be useful for other countries at a similar stage of development, as well as for international organizations involved in building an information society.
