The article examines important aspects of personality formation in modern society. The relevance of this research lies in the fact that, in the context of rapid civilization development and swift sociocultural changes, the role of the individual becomes increasingly significant. The goal is to explore the process of spiritual personality formation through the lens of the relationship between freedom and responsibility. The main theoretical approaches to this issue will be discussed, as well as practical aspects related to the development of these qualities in a person.
Understanding freedom as an immanent foundation of human existence and self-awareness expands the conceptual space of «freedom» and «responsibility» and allows for a new understanding of the processes of personality development. How are individual freedom and responsibility to society connected? Freedom is the right to choose and act, but it is limited by the interests of society. Responsibility is a mechanism of self-protection for the individual. The individual bears responsibility for exposure to new risks, thereby increasing the need for personal choice. The article examines responsibility as a means of preventing personality crises and disintegration, and the factors influencing personality formation and behavior. This helps to better understand the complex relationships involved in personality formation in the context of the reformatting of modern society.
