The article discusses the concept of intellectual property in Islam from a religious perspective. Intellectual property is analyzed from the standpoint of Islamic law, and the views of Islamic scholars on copyright, which forms part of intellectual property rights, are explored. In an era where knowledge provides not only material benefits but also other advantages, the issue of intellectual property has become a fundamental principle of development at both the individual and societal levels. Intellectual property refers to the right to own certain objects that result from intellectual labor. This topic is particularly relevant in the information age and considered a key factor in the cultural and economic development of each country. The issue of intellectual property is widely discussed in fields such as religious studies, philosophy, law, sociology, international relations, and others, and it has become one of the most important topics for Muslim society today. The study analyzed the views on intellectual property, its history and development, as well as its differences compared to modern understandings. It found that intellectual property, including copyright, is considered in Islamic law as a type of private ownership. The aim of the study was to conduct a deeper analysis of the concept of intellectual property in Islamic law and to determine its compatibility and differences with modern legal systems.
