This article explores the complex interplay between individual self-determination, traditional cultural norms, and the emerging values shaped by cybersocialization in the digital age. It highlights how the socio-cultural conditions of contemporary society present both challenges and opportunities for personal identity formation. The study explores the impact of digital environments on the development of values, highlighting the role of cybersocialization as a transformative force. By examining the integration of traditional and innovative values, the article provides insights into the mechanisms through which individuals navigate these competing value systems. It also addresses the role of the digital environment in shaping attitudes, behaviors, and self-concept, revealing their impact on the processes of self-reflection and decision-making. The study emphasized dialectical, comparative, and quantitative methods, and a sociological survey formed the basis for collecting primary data. This interdisciplinary work contributes to understanding the dynamics of self-determination within rapidly changing cultural and technological conditions. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the dual influences of tradition and innovation on personal identity, offering valuable insights into the complexities of navigating self-determination in the digital age. According to the authors’ conclusion, it is necessary to continue studying the influence of the digital environment on self-determination and the mechanisms through which citizens can combine tradition and innovation.
