Abstract

This article is dedicated to a comprehensive analysis of the processes of radicalization of Islamic consciousness in contemporary Kazakhstan. The research identifies socioeconomic, historical-cultural, and psychological factors influencing the spread of radical religious ideologies. The work examines the main manifestations of religious radicalism in Kazakhstani society and their impact on the current sociopolitical situation. The author identifies the primary causes contributing to the spread of radical religious ideology, specifically: social inequality, unemployment, disruption of historical consciousness, crisis of traditional values, and low levels of religious literacy. The study proposes effective measures for preventing and countering religious radicalism, including improving educational programs, enhancing religious literacy, promoting traditional Islamic values, implementing socioeconomic development programs, and measures to counter the ideology of radical groups. The work analyzes the interaction between government bodies, religious organizations, and civil society institutions to ensure the spiritual security of Kazakhstani society. This article employs historical-comparative, socio-psychological, institutional, systematic, and political-legal analysis methods based on the principles of scientific objectivity, systematicity, and an integrated approach. The comprehensive application of these methods has enabled the identification of effective approaches to counteracting radicalization processes. The scientific and practical significance of the work is determined by its contribution to improving state policy in the field of ensuring Kazakhstan's religious security.
