The article examines the current issues related to the implementation of the principle of social justice in Kazakhstan as a social state. The mechanism of market self-regulation does not ensure the achievement of social justice. On the contrary, the market contributes to the deepening of social stratification; therefore, ensuring a fair distribution of income is one of the key principles of a social state’s functioning. In this regard, the issue of social justice is particularly important in the context of the realization of the right to work, as there is a noticeable gap in Kazakhstani society between legal principles and norms and actual indicators, such as the minimum wage and the average salary in the country. This gap is perceived by society as injustice.
