Abstract

Hegel’s “Philosophy of History” with its majestic picture of the world and historical progress of mankind is one of the unique historical theories, surprisingly in keeping with our time. The reasoning of modern humanity about history, the desire to clarify its own position in history, to determine the possibilities of participation or non-participation, both of the individual and of all humanity in history are all these presupposes a largely binding tradition of understanding history in Philosophical Science.
Rethinking the horizons of modern humanities is an urgent requirement of the present. Today the issue is about increasing the philosophical and methodological culture of the historical knowledge, and the development of the philosophy of history and national historiography on the basis of mastering the problematic and semantic context of the world philosophical and historical thought. Today humanity needs to restore faith in the history and philosophy. Modern philosophy of history should comprehend the possibilities of transforming society. Therefore, the problems of our society or any other single country are connected with the fate of the whole world. In search of a solution to these questions, it becomes relevant to turn to the classics of world philosophy, namely to Hegel’s philosophical heritage
